It felt like we hit the jackpot. My friend and I copped tickets for the May 2022 Lovers and Friends festival in Las Vegas BEFORE they sold out. We were so hype.
Since the festival was only 2 days long, we extended our trip and turned it into a 5-day girls trip to Vegas. In this post, I’m sharing our itinerary for how we spent our 5 days in Vegas.

Day 1 - Thursday
Day 1: Hotel Check In @ The Luxor Hotel
I flew out to the Las Vegas Airport and met up with my friend at the Luxor Hotel. I arrived a few hours after my friend did, so she got us checked-in to the hotel and waited for me.
The Luxor Hotel was huge both inside and outside. It had a pyramid shape and an ancient Egyptian theme throughout the hotel.
Our room was very spacious, had a modern luxury feel to it, and came with two queen size beds. After getting settled into our room, we jumped into our dinner clothes and found a dinner spot.
DAY 1: Dinner @ The hOUSE OF BLUES lAS vEGAS
The Luxor Hotel connected to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. So we were able to walk through our hotel into the Mandalay Bay to explore even more restaurants.
We ended up dining at the House of Blues Las Vegas. The food was okay for the time being, but not too impressive. The drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere and free live entertainment were fun.
During our meal, the restaurant’s photographer came to our table to take a picture of us that we could then buy. We didn’t buy any pictures but we kept the free sample picture. After dinner, we explored the hotel some more and then made our way back to our room to get ready for the next day.
DAY 2 - Friday
Day 2: Activities - The Strip & Shopping
We spent the first half of the day out on the strip and shopped at the Fashion Show mall. Also, we picked up some Sprinkles Cupcakes from a vending machine that was inside the mall (how cool?).
DAY 2: Lunch @ Bennihana
After shopping, we decided to try Bennihana for an early lunch since we skipped breakfast. We sat outside to eat and shockingly the food and service were unsatisfactory. The wait staff were inattentive to us and it took forever to receive our food even though they weren’t busy.
We shared our experience with the staff and refunded our meal. I don’t know if that was a bad day for them or what. The patio seating was nice though and we got to people watch, which is always fun in Vegas lol!
DAY 2: Dinner @ Emril's New Orleans Fish House
For dinner, we went to Emril’s New Orleans Fish House and it was everything I thought it was going to be. They understood the assignment and here’s why.
The service was spectacular and the atmosphere set the mood for our evening plans. The New Orleans style dishes were out of this world delicious. I ordered the Emril’s New Orleans barbeque shrimp dish with the garlic crab carolina gold rice and mac n cheese.
My friend ordered their daily fish option. We had a glass of delicious moscato and for dessert we enjoyed their strawberry butter cake, which was the best part
DAY 2: Entertainment - An Evening With Silk Sonic
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak knew what they were doing when they created An Evening With Silk Sonic. We went to the show at the Dolby Live center and it was phenomenal. The concert was indoors and it felt so good to be in the air conditioning.
Before we could enter the show, we had to lock up our phones in a phone pocket. At first, I was a bit salty about not having access to my phone because I wanted to take pics and videos. But, Bruno explained how he wanted us to be in the moment and experience the show without trying to record it for the gram.
The show was packed with humor, fun skits, amazing music, dancing, and incredible stage lights. I loved the small details that went into the show such as the outfits, hairstyles, and stage props. The performance was interactive and everyone in the audience was LIT, dancing, singing, and having a blast together.
The Silk Sonic performance was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a hot minute. The execution of the show was on point and was worth every penny.
I recommend going to the Silk Sonic show the next time you are on a girl’s trip in Las Vegas. If you haven’t seen Bruno or Anderson .Paak. in concert, then this is your sign to go to their show in Las Vegas.
Day 3 - Saturday
Day 3: Breakfast @ Della's Kitchen
Since this was the day of the Lovers and Friends Festival, we wanted to make sure that we ate a big breakfast. We wanted to have plenty of food on our stomachs before we spent the day in the heat and drinking.
So, we went to a restaurant called Della’s Kitchen, located in the Delano hotel. As soon as we arrived to the restaurant, we saw WNBA star Lisa Leslie sitting down and eating. We were like, “Isn’t that….. no way!”. We didn’t expect to see a celebrity eating at the same place as us!
Although the food was a bit bland, the environment and decor were stunning. Perfect for Instagram pictures.
Day 3: Activity - Lovers and Friends Festival
We were so excited about going to the Lovers and Friends festival. But, the logistics and coordination majorly affected the experience.

Day 3: Dinner - Hotel Shops & Uber Eats
After the festival, we went back to the hotel. We were completely exhausted, dehydrated, sweaty, yucky, tired, and had sore feet.
Once we took our showers, we didn’t feel like going back out that night. My friend wanted Popeyes and Cinnabon from the shops in the hotel. So we both walked down to the shops and brought food back to our room.
Additionally, I ordered from Uber Eats and had them deliver Bon Chon to the hotel. The food delivery was so clutch because we were so worn out from the festival. We knocked out so fast after dinner!
Day 4 - Sunday
Day 4: Brunch @ Lavo
My friend booked us a reservation for an endless brunch at Lavo Italian Restaurant. The aesthetics and decor were so Instagram worthy. They offered an endless brunch for a 2 hour period.
We got to order food and drinks from their menu as many times as we wanted. We ordered oysters, muffins, breakfast pizza, chicken and waffles, and mimosas. The food was okay, but the experience was phenomenal. The service was top tier.
This brunch spot should definitely be on your restaurant list for your girl’s trip to Vegas. It’s perfect for large girl groups and the portions are large enough for sharing. You’ll definitely want to come here with an empty stomach so you can eat all the food you can!
Day 4: Dinner @ La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway
La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway is another Instagram worthy restaurant in Vegas. The atmosphere and interior design were impeccable.
They offered small plates and an enormous wine collection. The tables were close together and the lights were very low to create an intimate setting.
For our meals, I ordered shrimp and mashed potatoes with a wine flight. My friend ordered charred octopus. The meals were okay and definitely meant for light eating. So do not go here if you are starving and ready to inhale some food.
After dinner we got some coffee at a cafe. Then we caught an Uber and made our way back to our hotel. We packed up our suitcases and got ready for our red eye flight the next morning.
Day 5 - Monday
Day 5: The Flight Back...A Nightmare
So we woke up at 3am and caught an Uber to the airport. My friend and I had flights at different times. Her flight was at 5am and mine was at 8am. So she got checked-in first while I had to wait almost an hour to get checked-in.
I sat at my gate and had Burger King for breakfast. I had my headphones in and I scrolled through Instagram to kill time while waiting for my flight to board. Well, how come, they changed my gate within 30 mins of my flight.
I missed the gate change announcement. So, I went to the gate attendant desk and they searched for a new flight for me. Mind you, it was 8am. So, he tells me I can either fly at 1pm and get home at 12am or fly at 3pm and get home at 1am.
I chose the earlier flight because at that point, I was ready to get out of that airport and go home. I ended up getting home at 1:30am and finally was able to get back into my bed, thank you Jesus.
Final Thoughts

Never been to Vegas but I think everyone around me has!! It feels like a toss up for me as I like oceans but at some point I do want to get that on my list of “been’s” so I’ll keep your itinerary for help! Keep the ideas coming ❤️
