I’m sharing a simple, easy, and affordable way to jazz up your sisterlocks for your next festival, concert, vacation, girls trip, photoshoot, special event, etc.
Keep reading because these super cute butterfly hair clips are the perfect hair accessory to try on your sisterlocks. Not only is it a trendy hair accessory, but it will also take you back to your school girl days.

When I wore these butterfly hair clips on my sisterlocks at the Lover and Friends Festival in Las Vegas, I received TONS of compliments from both women and men. People were OBSESSED with how cute the butterfly hair clips were. They were definitely a huge hit!

Where to Get Butterfly Hair Clips?
These large butterfly hair clips can be purchased from Amazon. They are less than $10 and they come in a pack of 18 pieces. They come in all sorts of color combinations you can choose from to match your outfit. The clips are about two inches wide in size.
Who Can Wear Butterfly Hair Clips?
Anyone who has hair can use these butterfly hair clips. You can use these on your own hair and you can use them on children’s hair too. All types of hair can use these butterfly hair clips including mature sisterlocks and sisterlocks older than 1 year.
How to Use Butterfly Hair Clips?
I had no trouble clipping the butterfly hair clips to my hair. They are very light and not heavy at all. The fabric butterflies have metal alligator clips attached to the back of them which will be used to apply onto your sisterlocks.
Once you have taken the butterfly hair clips out of the package, grab a section of sisterlocks (about 10-12 locs). To open the alligator clip up, pinch the clip. Then slide the clip horizontally onto the sisterlocks. Lastly, let go of the clip. The butterfly hair clip should be firmly attached to the section of sisterlocks.
Place as many butterfly hair clips onto your hair as you want by repeating this same process. If you wish to add the butterfly clips all around your head, make sure they aren’t too close together or overlapped.
Are The Butterfly Hair Clips Fragile?
The butterfly hair clips are pretty durable and don’t feel like they would fall apart. You can definitely reuse them multiple times. The butterfly hair clips are made of fabric and metal. The quality was good for the price.
Will the Butterfly Hair Clips Damage My Sisterlocks?
Although the clip part is metal, it should not damage your sisterlocks. I don’t recommend leaving these butterfly hair clips on your sisterlocks for too long because they could possibly cause damage due to extended wear.
As long as you do not wear them all day long or wear them to sleep, then I believe these butterfly hair clips are safe for mature sisterlocks. If you haven’t had your sisterlocks for more than 1 year, I would avoid using the butterfly hair clips on your new sisterlocks, especially if your locs haven’t started locking yet.
As always, ask your sisterlocktician just to be sure.
Choosing a hairstyle for a festival or concert doesn’t have to be a burden. You can easily stand out and look cute by adding these large butterfly hair clips to your sisterlocks. Be prepared to receive a lot of compliments!
