How are you keeping your mums alive this Fall? It seems like I kill mine every time. For this Fall season, I won’t be adding real mums or real pumpkins to my Fall porch decor. Instead, I bought faux mums and faux pumpkins, & they look so real.
If you are tired of having to purchase Fall mums and pumpkins every season and having them not last a whole week, you need to read this. I am sharing how I styled my Fall porch decor without the mess, the hassle, and the failure.

Why Use Faux Fall Porch Decor
I buy mums and pumpkins every year and they die before I can enjoy them. Additionally, they are hard to water, they attract bugs, and the flower petals shed everywhere, making your porch messy. With faux porch decor, you can keep your porch clean and avoid mess, and your faux mums and faux pumpkins will last longer since you won’t have to buy them every Fall. This is a decor investment that will last for years.
How to Style Your Porch With Faux Fall Decor
If you’re anything like me, I do not have a green thumb at all. It doesn’t work out no matter how hard I try. So here’s how I styled my porch with Fall decor without the hassle of maintaining faux mums and pumpkins. Watch me style my porch with faux Fall decor.
Add Faux Mums and Pumpkins to your Fall Porch Decor
Faux Mums
I bought two packages of yellow and red faux mums. The flowers were a bit stuck together in the packages. You will need to fluff them out and give them some life before arranging them in a flower vase.
Faux Pumpkins
I was surprised by the size of the faux pumpkins. These faux pumpkins look extremely realistic thanks to how they were painted. People have already questioned me about how I found huge pumpkins like that. The pumpkins weighed less than 5 pounds despite their size.
Buying fake pumpkins is a great alternative to going to the pumpkin patch every year to buy huge, heavy pumpkins that you cannot carry. Real pumpkins end up being thrown out and aren’t reusable.
I enjoy finding decorations I can reuse year after year. For me, these faux pumpkins and faux mums were a great Fall porch decor investment. I always like saving my coins and getting the most out of the things I buy.
Add a Faux Fall Wreath to your Fall Porch Decor
On my front door, I hung a faux bleached wheat wreath from Target. Since my front door is a bright red color, it can be difficult to find Fall wreaths that do not clash. I try to find wreaths in lighter colors like tans, whites, and beiges. I think this wreath works really well with the fall colors I have on my porch.
Add a Fall Doormat to your Fall Porch Decor
I really love the layered door mat look for door entryways. I like to add a larger patterned door mat on the bottom and a smaller coir door mat on top. In my opinion, layered door mats help pull the entire entryway together. It’s definitely an essential for Fall porch decor.
Add Lights to Your Fall Porch Decor
To really elevate the look of your Fall porch decor, add some outdoor solar pathway lights. I had my husband add these along our porch pathway and they really did the trick. Not only do they look really pretty at night, they also make the whole porch experience look complete.
Final Thoughts on Fall Porch Decor
I am officially a huge fan of faux Fall porch decor. Give me faux everything. I love being able to get the look of having the pretty mums and pumpkins on my porch but without the extra work of having to maintain them.
Also, adding gorgeous doormats, a wreath, and pathway lights can also enhance your Fall porch decor and can really give you those comfy Fall vibes.
You can even take your Fall vibes to the next level by making this delicious Cinnamon Apple Bread and sit on your porch to enjoy it!
Are you team real or team faux when it comes to your Fall porch decor? Would you try adding faux mums or faux pumpkins to your Fall porch decor?
