ToggleWHy should You GO ON A GIRLS TRIP TO VEGAS?
Fun, Freedom, and No Judgement
Girls trips to Vegas gives you the freedom to be 100% yourself without judgment. Las Vegas gives you the opportunity to look how you want to, act how you want to, and be who you want to be.
People in Las Vegas do not have any time to judge you because they are too busy having an amazing time themselves. You can let loose, cut up, and have a fun time because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
gIRLS TRIPS ARE HEALTHY FOR YOU
Girls trips are a healthy form of self-care and therapy. They help improve your mental, emotional, and spiritual health. On a girls trip, you get to bond, laugh, and have some fun with your closest friends who you enjoy being around. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and renewed.
Often, we invest in ways that help improve our health such as therapy, buying a Peloton, or hiring a physical trainer. So why not invest in a girls trip too.
A girls trip can help release oxytocin, which is the feel-good hormone (Feintuch, 2019). The more your feel good, the more likely you are to incorporate more healthy habits into your life.

WHEN TO BOOK YOUR TRIP
BOOKING YOUR FLIGHT
After you book your entertainment and restaurant reservations, then book your flight. Southwest is the airline I use to book my trips. If you can’t find decent flights there, try Delta or American airlines.
Here’s four tips to make your flight experience less stressful.
- Avoid waiting too close to your trip date to book your flight. You will end up paying way more than you would if you book your flight in advance.
- Avoid red eye flights for your flight back home. It can be challenging trying to get up early to catch your flight back home. If you do have to fly a red-eye, pay attention to the flight departure and arrival times so you don’t miss your flight.
- Pay the extra money to book a nonstop flight, if you can. Having to wait in-between flights is no fun. You end up getting stuck in the airport for hours waiting around for your flight while your girlfriends are already at the hotel.
- Keep checking if your flight got changed. Flight times change, get delayed, and get moved to new gates. It’s so important to check your flight time and gate the day before, right when you get to the airport, and while you wait to board.
BOOKING YOUR HOTEL
Here’s a list of popular Las Vegas hotels to consider when determining where to stay:
-
The Luxor Hotel and Casino
-
The LINQ Hotel and Experience
-

-

-

-
MGM Grand
-
Caesars Palace

-

The cost of all your drinks alcohol, coffee, water, juice, etc.
-

-
Transportation and frequency of transportation
-

HOW TO TRAVEL IN LAS VEGAS?
HERE IS A LIST OF TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:
Uber and Lyft
This is going to be your most used transportation. The best part about using Uber and Lyft is that they will get you to and from very quickly. As soon as you open the app, you’ll be able to find a driver in minutes.
Now, here’s the thing about using this form of transportation in Las Vegas. There are certain drop off and pick up points for the hotels that Uber or Lyft must use. You might have to walk a little ways to your driver. Even if you are Uber-ing, you still need to wear comfortable walking shoes because these drop off and pick up points can be a hike.
Walking
The most important part of the entire trip is being able to walk to places comfortably. You will need to invest in a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Avoid blisters and hot feet by bringing shoes that you know you can wear for long periods of time. You don’t want your feet to be uncomfortable during the entire trip.
Also, just to reiterate, Las Vegas is hot as hell! So you will need to check out my Hot Girl Summer Trip Packing List so you can know what items to bring with you that will keep you comfortable in the heat.
Pedicab (Sin City Cycle Cab)
If you want more of a thrill, try a pedicab for a more outdoor scenic option. It’s basically a rickshaw that carries passengers around the city. Pedicabs are convenient, especially after festivals and large events when everyone is looking for an Uber or Lyft at the same time.
This is a perfect option if you have a small girls trip crew because the pedicab seats 2 passengers. You get to have an intimate outdoor seated tour around the city. The pedicab driver will blast music and spark up friendly conversations with you during the ride.
You can find pedicabs posted up right outside of events waiting to give passengers rides. The price is about the same as an Uber or Lyft. But, the benefit is that you get to skip the Uber/Lyft wait. You also get door to door drop off, unlike Uber/Lyft.
The Monorail
The monorail is also another great mode of transportation. New trains arrive every 4-8 minutes according to the Monorail website. You can buy a day pass which will give you unlimited rides for a certain amount of hours. If you need basic transportation to places along the strip then this is your best bet.
The monorail will get you to everywhere you need to go to along the strip. But, do keep in mind that walking is still involved here. Although you don’t have to worry about parking, you will have to self-navigate from the monorail to your end-destination.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Treat yourself to some self-care by planning a stress-free girls trip to Vegas. The planning part doesn’t have to be stressful if you give yourself enough time to plan it out. Use a google sheet to keep track of all your booking and reservation details. Stay as organized as possible.
Communicate to your girlfriends early on and make decisions together so that you can have a successful girls trip without any drama. No matter what, remember the purpose of this trip is to be an investment for your mental, emotional, and spiritual health. You deserve it!
